Ylonka Elisabeth Jaspers was born in in Roosendaal, the Netherlands, in 1984. After her school days, “Atelier Artilabo” in Breda gave her the opportunity to turn her artistic gift into a profession. In her work, Jaspers focuses on motifs taken from contemporary history, Egyptology, the Christian religion and the biographies of well-known personalities. The multi-layered content is reflected in the diversity of techniques and media. She processes different materials in collages and montages, combining them with drawings and texts.
